I will come back.
I found the management of Mt. Vernon to be helpful, sympathetic, concerned, responsive and able.
They did their utmost to fix, assist and in general respond to any concerns that came up.
Yes, there were some difficulties here and there, however I have always found that what is important is: once problems come up, what does management do about it? It is the response that makes the difference.
I couldn't have been more pleased with how quickly they fixed our lock, offered to make changes to our room, and seemed sincere in their concern about the enjoyment of our stay.
I found Mr. Dulfer to be the best communicator I have ever encountered and was amazed watching him deal with the throngs of travellers, all of whom had one concern or another. Always smiling and genuinely concerned and gentle in his handling of even the most cranky, tired guest.
From dealing with guests, to cleaning tables in the bar, we found this management team and their staff would bend over backward to make this an enjoyable experience for not only ourselves, but other guests as well.
This hotel is (finally) in good hands.
Management and staff were courteous, and followed up on any problems. (Amazing in itself)
I think the hotel owners have found exceptional individuals to run this hotel and Mr. Dulfer along with Pascal (the food and beverage manager) and their staff make a powerful team.
This island and this hotel make a great combination. Unbelievable view, reasonable rates, a plan with the car and restaurant coupons that get you out and around the island are great.
I would return in a heartbeat.
