We stayed the week of October 22nd. The front desk was very helpful with getting a car rental for us and pointing us to great beaches. Friendly helpful people.
Our unit had a spectacular view. We were in a one-bedroom / sleeps 4 unit. They are a little old, but well kept. Daily service bringing in fresh towels, also beach towels available. If you want a nice, quality place to stay with helpful staff - this is your place. The main drawback is the water in the room - it does initially come out a little brown - but then clears up - I would suggest bottled water. I would not list them as top of the line, but I would stay there again.
The beach is a short walk away and very rockie, we chose to visit other beaches. La Vista also has a unit called La Vista Beach which sits right on the beach.
The Hideaway restuarant is onsite. Your meals are served poolside - the pool is a never-ending pool that looks out to the ocean - beautiful! We had breakfast twice there - okay service and good breakfast.
