St. Martin/St. Maarten Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews Reviews
Maho Beach Resort & Casino 10/04/2004
Reviewers Rating: Great
We were very impressed by our choice, having originally changed from the Divi after reading terrible reviews. There are a lot of amenities within walking distance such as restaurants and grocery store. The cab to P'burg was only $12 and you can arrange to have the driver come back and pick you up! The airport next door was an awesome experience. Have you ever had a 747 fly 50 feet overhead? Or take off and potentially blow you into the water? It was great being there off-season, too, because there were fewer flights and mostly propeller planes at that. The pool was nice enough. The other perk was being able to walk next door to the ruins of the Mullet Bay resort that was destroyed and abandoned in 1995. The beach there was gorgeous and only a 10 minute walk from Maho. There is also a Hertz counter in the hotel lobby. Staff very good & casino right across the street. A new restaurant called Terra was delicious. Great place!
