Beaches Turks and Caicos 04/11/02

We just returned from a wonderful vacation at Beaches with our 13 year old son. This is a great place for kids. I would not recommend this resort if you do not have children traveling with you. I found the food to be plentiful and good. Our favorite eating spots were Kimono's, Guiseppe's, Schooners and Reflections. We did not try the adults only restaurants though. I loved having Pina Coladas and Daquari's available all the time. They were delicious! We loved walking down to Bight Reef for snorkeling everyday. The pools were beautiful, clean and warm. The beach, although narrower than I pictured, was pretty and the water clear and calm. My son loved the pool slides and Bobby D's diner where he could get "kid food" all the time. Our room was adequate with a four poster bed and a pullout couch and chair. The negatives were.....foul smelling water in the room and having to get up early to get a chair by the pool or beach. I would recommend this resort for families and I would like to return again in the future.
