Hanna, Ike update
It looks like Hanna is now an east coast issue - but Ike could come straight through the Turks and Caicos, The Bahamas, and brush by Cuba before turning north towards Florida's west coast. We will keep a close eye on Ike over the weekend. The next update from the NHC is due out soon and we will post that also (you can find the latest in the left hand navigation). Josephine thankfully looks like it is meandering in the open Atlantic.
I understand your concern for the U.S., but I live in the Dominican Republic, so I am more interested in what is happening in the Caribbean than exclusively the weather in the U.S. It would be useful for us island-dwellers to know what course a storm or hurricane is going to take in the Careibbean itself.

Hi Maria - we are concerned here on this site specifically about the Caribbean region - but it can be very hard to find specific news sometimes. Unfortunately the big media in the US tends to focus on the US and how things affect the US.
We always have the latest updates from the NHC posted - and these are detailed and deal with the situation at hand for the islands.
