Hurricane Beryl

Hurricane Beryl was a weakened wave/low when it finally got to the Caribbean basin, but was the first Hurricane of the 2018 Atlantic season.


  • Beryl became the first Atlantic hurricane of 2018 and then quickly dissipated while tracking towards the northeastern Caribbean.

  • Heavy rain and gusty winds from Beryl's remnants impacted the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

  • Beryl reformed in the northwest Atlantic as a subtropical storm, but did not directly affect land.
