Serving French fare with a decidedly Caribbean flare, Barrel Stay is located right on the beach in Sandy Ground. Try the Anguillan pumpkin soup that comes with a crisp toasted wasabi flute as a starter. Or the famous fish soup which, some say, is not to be missed. Follow up with the mahi mahi fillet served with a fennel and coriander risotto, red pepper essence, courgette and carrot ribbons. They also have a nice selection of meat dishes and outstanding desserts. There's a full bar and extensive wine list.

Big Jim's is THE place to visit for outstanding barbecued ribs, chicken and johnny cakes. This is where the locals go to eat. Some say his barbecue is the best in, not only Anguilla, but the world!

Nothing beats a fresh conch roti made by Heather James, who learned the art of roti-making in it's home territory, Trinidad. Besides the delicious conch roti there are other roti-offerings such as chicken and trigger fish. Wonderful choices in the roti shell with curried potatoes.
