The official currency of Aruba is the Aruban Florin, although the US Dollar is widely accepted. The United Nations offers exchange rate information.
The electrical voltage is 110 AC, same as in the United States.
Travelers to Aruba need to show proof of their identity. Residents of the US or Canada can submit a valid passport, an official birth certifcate with photo, or a valid Alien Registration card. Other nationalities must have a valid passport and a visa if required.

The official language is Dutch, but English is widely spoken. Papiamento, a mixture of Spanish, Dutch and Portugese, is Aruba's local language.

Buses: Aruba has a good bus system with regular daily service. Bus schedules are available at the main bus station on Zoutmanstraat.
Taxis: Taxis run on fixed rates. A ride from the airport to most hotels will cost about $15.
