Separated by a two-mile channel, St. Kitts (officially named St. Christopher) and Nevis are in the northern part of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean. St. Kitts covers 68 square miles, while Nevis -- which is to the south east of St. Kitts -- is 36 square miles.
