A Sure Sign of Summer
You know summer has arrived in St Barth when the roadwork begins in earnest! Road repairs and improvements began in Gustavia on June 5 and are expected to last for about one month. The commune takes advantage of this lower tourist season to repair the roads, maintain the water pipes, bury the electric and telephone lines, improve sanitary conditions and lay fiber optic cable. So, be prepared for traffic jams and allow yourself a little more time than normal!
