International Book Day
UNESCO's International Book Day was first celebrated on St Barth in 2006. Due to its great success, the organizers are hoping to turn this annual event into a major cultural activity. For 2008, the idea is to schedule a five-day event from April 16 to April 20 that will combine the International Book Day with poetry readings from a few invited poets, a writing workshop, a conference led by a well-known author and a book exchange with readings and book signings.
