From December 21, 2009 until January 31, 2010, the Eden Rock Gallery is hosting an art exhibit called Water/Bodies from the New York Academy of Art. The exhibit is being curated by David Kratz, president of the New York Academy of Art, and work by Eric Fischl and Jenny Saville, Senior Critics at the Academy, will be showcased. Each of the paintings or sculptures is related to the theme of nature, water and the body. The Eden Roc Gallery and the New York Academy of Art have an ongoing relationship which includes an artist-in-residence program in which up to 10 students or graduates of the Academy can visit St. Barth and participate. A portion of the proceeds from this year's exhibit will be used to fund this program. The Eden Roc hotel is located in the heart of St Jean on the beach.
