The Lions Club Continues Its Work for Haiti
Starting at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 27 on the commercial quay in Public, the Lions Club was set up to collect various materials to send to Haiti to help after the devastating earthquake the country recently experienced. They asked people to donate such goods as folding or dismounted beds, mattresses, cribs, sheets and towels, kitchen materials, rope that can be used to tighten tarps, nails, tools that can be used for masonry or carpentry, toothbrushes and toothpaste - but no food. Food donations can be made one week before the materials are shipped out. The Lions Club will publicize that date when it is known.
