A Competition for Window Displays For the first time, the Tourism Committee is organizing a competition for window displays among the merchants of Gustavia and St Jean. Although they don't specifically say that the window displays will have a Christmas theme, it seems likely since the last day for registration is December 11.

Tendances, the home furnishings store in Anse de Cayes and Gustavia, is holding a sale with prices reduced up to 60% before their final closing.

La Rotisserie, which recently closed and changed ownership, is open once again. This very popular shop in St Jean, with a branch in Gustavia, prepares excellent dishes to go or to eat in their small, but pleasant dining area and has added a salad bar - perhaps the first in St. Barth. The shop also offers breads and pastries plus a nice variety of gourmet items such as wines, chocolates, olive oils and confitures among others. The location in St Jean also includes an outdoor snack bar.
