Hôtel Le Toiny Receives First Relais & Châteaux Grand Chef Distinction in Caribbean
Hotel Le Toiny in Grand Fond is the first Relais & Chateaux property in the Caribbean to receive a Grand Chef distinction. At the annual conference of Relais & Chateaux in Biarritz, France, Chef Stephane Mazieres was presented with the Grand Chef Taittinger award. Quite an accomplishment for a chef of age 34! Chef Mazieres supervises the hotel and restaurant (Le Gaiac) kitchens and offers sophisticated French and Creole cuisine. Last year the hotel built a greenhouse to grow vegetables and herbs, and this year they plan to construct two more greenhouses to grow their own fruit.
