"Blue Zone" Parking in Gustavia
On November 9, the Territorial Council voted to create "blue zone" parking to help ease traffic and parking in the center of Gustavia, and to prevent people who work in Gustavia from leaving their car parked all day in prime parking areas. The "blue zone" will be identified by signs and will include parking on the streets along the waterfront and from the pharmacy to the entry of Gustavia. How does it work? Drivers will be allowed to park for free for one and a half hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm from Monday through Saturday when using a parking disk. After 6:00 pm and on Sundays and holidays, parking is free for as long as desired. Two thousand disks are available through the Collectivity and at car rental agencies.
