Caribbean-On-Line / St. Barts / Transportation / Getting to St Barth

Getting to St Barth

Getting to St Barth can always be a little challenging. But, that's part of what makes it such a special island. The destination is well worth the journey, and with the euro now ranging between 1.25€ and 1.29€ to $1.00, the time is right! The following services may make it a little easier for some of you.

Leeward Islands Helicopters
re-launched its helicopter service August 2008 with a brand new Robinson R44 helicopter aircraft. Beginning October 2008, they began operating charters to St Barth from their base at the Princess Port de Plaisance resort in St Maarten. For more details on the new helicopter services visit: http://www.airsxm.eu/page.php?page=58.

JetBlue Airways announced that they will provide nonstop year-round service between Boston and St. Maarten beginning on February 14, 2009. (What better Valentine's present than a surprise trip to St Barth?!) This route will have one flight each Saturday, departing Logan Airport at 7:50 am and arriving in St Maarten at 1:04 pm. The return flight will depart St Maarten at 2:00 pm and arrive in Boston at 5:57 pm.

Tradewind Aviation will again be offering scheduled flights out of San Juan to St Barth this season. The two daily flights will leave San Juan at 8:00 am and 3:00 pm and will depart from St Barth at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.
