The Rapid Explorer is Back in Philipsburg and Has a New Schedule

rapid-explorer-st-martin.jpgAs of May 1, the Rapid Explorer is again based in Philipsburg at Bobby's Marina. This is a high-speed catamaran with airline-like seats and air-conditioning. The Rapid Explorer departs Philipsburg every day at 7:15 am, 9:30 am and 5:00 pm, except for Tuesdays and Sundays when there is no 7:15 am departure. The boat departs St. Barth every day at 8:15 am, 10:30 am and 6:00 pm, except for Tuesdays and Sundays when there is no 8:15 am departure. The crossing takes 45 minutes.

For information or to make reservations, call 05 90 52 45 06 or visit the office in St. Barth or St Maarten where the boat departs.

Rapid Explorer is a very unethical and dishonest business. We paid for a round trip for 4 in October 2008 and they only provided one part of the journey. No boat was at the port on the departure day - just a note taped to the door. We had to purchase airline tickets to get back to St. Maarten. We have been trying to get our 50% refund. It is a total run-around and one lie after another. DO NOT USE THEM.
