Dominican Golf Federation says tourney draws 300 players

SANTO DOMINGO.- Ten countries and 300 players will take part in the Caribbean Golf Classic 2007, to be inaugurated today Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., in Casa de Campo, La Romana (east), organized by the Dominican Golf Federation (Fedogolf) and the Caribbean Golf Association.

After the opening ceremony delegates, players and organizers will gather for a gala dinner at 7:45 p.m., said Carlos Lizarazo, executive director of the Dominican Federation of Golf.

He said golfers from the Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Turk & Caicos, Virgin Islands and Dominican Republic will take to the links on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, for 3 rounds under the Stableford modality, playing in the courses Teeth of the Dog, the Links and Dye Fore.
