Sheraton Cable Beach Resort in Nassau

The $80 million Sheraton Cable Beach Resort in Nassau -- the former Radisson Cable Beach Resort -- will open its doors June 12. The opening marks the first phase in the development of the 1,000-acre Baha Mar site, a $2.3 billion project that will eventually include four Starwood-brand hotels and spas; a 1,000-room Caesars Resort Hotel & Casino; an 18-hole golf course; meetings space; a 20-acre pool and beachfront complex; and a village with retail shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. Completion of the Baha Mar project is scheduled for late 2010.

I stayed at the Radisson in December under the all-inclusive plan, which included all meals, drink and golf green fees (cart fee extra).

However, I heard the all-inclusive was being cancelled when the Sheraton took over.

Have you heard anything?

Karen,

Even though you could hear some renovation noise during the day, the renovations didn't really impact my trip.

Yes, the renovations caused most of the restaurants, one pool and the main lobby to be closed. But they didn't stop me from playing golf, snorkeling, site-seeing and spending time on the beach and at the beach bar. With the restaurants closed, the all-inclusive plan allowed me to access to the restaurants at the Wyndham.

The Sheraton Cable Beach Resort is part of the Starwood Group. Their reply to my inquiry about whether or not they still have any all-inclusive packages is below. Wish I were enroute to a visit! If you go again please let us know how the renovations are progressing...and have a GREAT time!
