Hiring a driver for island tour?

We are leaving for Barbados on May 11 and are staying at the Crane. We would like to hire a cab driver for a full day tour of the island. We did this in Jamaica and it worked out well.

The Crane said taxi's would charge me $60/hour. I was thinking if I hire someone for the entire day it may be cheaper.

Does anyone know of a particular cab driver they have dealt with in the past?
