houghton sorry to tell you that you are wrong.
If you own property in the US, have a business license in the US or reside in the US for a period of more than 30 days out of the year(snow birds) you LEGALLY can not go to Cuba
Doesn't matter if you have canadian citizenship.If you fit into any of the above you can be penalized under the law.
The law applies to residents not just citizens. Read the US State Dept page.
