I have heard all sorts of NEW horror stories about immigration in Holguin Airport. Has anyone been there recently, are they really charging you for every Kilo your luggage may be over in LBS? and what is the new TAX (LOL) or cost to bring in a DVD?

Its not bad, pls, people get there underwears tied in a knot, don't worry, Things are changing and there just trying to keep up with the rest of the world. They do charge you if your alot over, a few pounds no, Just make sure you have extra space in your carry-on, just in case you need to transfer. Just be nice to them, It wont hurt you to leave a buck or 2 in your passport when you hand it to him if your over. Be nice to them, they will Help you.

DVD's. THey charged me 22 CUC to bring and leave my DVD player there, it was WITHOUR screen. If you take a portable there is no charge.
