Grenada back in business

Postby KarenS » Fri Jan 06, 2006 8:22 am

Grenada's recosntruction efforts have not gone un-noticed. The island suffered severely from Hurricane Ivan and the recosntruction serves as a model for nations throughout the world. Caribbean NetNews reports:
"ST GEORGE'S, Grenada: A senior Congresswoman from the United States has called Grenada’s reconstruction a model for the rest of the region and the world.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell, Congresswoman Barbara Lee of California complimented the Government and people of Grenada on the reconstruction effort, saying that much had been achieved since Hurricane Ivan.

The Prime Minister thanked the Congresswoman for the support the United States Government had given to Grenada and told her of the goodwill the United States’ efforts in Grenada had created."
