Blue Horizons Garden Resort going for the green

Postby KarenS » Mon May 14, 2007 1:57 pm

From a recent press release:
Grenada's 32-room Blue Horizons Garden Resort obtained its Green Globe Benchmarked Certificate under the Green Globe Certification program, putting it one step closer to securing full certification as a property which operates at the world's highest environmental standards. The resort first acquired its benchmark distinction in 2004, but it expired during the time the resort was closed as a result of Hurricane Ivan in September 2004. During a $1.5 million post-hurricane renovation project, Blue Horizons implemented several environmentally-conscious operating procedures so that it could attain the certification once the project was completed.
