Mosquito repellants

I purchased a small bottle of citronella spray while in Cuba this year, and it didn't help at all.

Mosquito repellants

If your mosquito repellant doesnt contain deet then you still may be bothered. Best to take your own that you know works where you are from. In northern ontario we use deep woods off or watkins, both come in pump spray or creams for easy travel. The deet seems to help with the little no see-ums too!

thx but this doesn't really answer my question, esp. since i'm not from Ontario but Hungary. deet/permethrin stuff is a rarity here so again: can i buy good repellent on location in Cuba?

She was trying to be helpfull, with suggestions on what to look for when using repellent.

Your best bet is to bring your own. I have no clue if you have bug problems from where you are from, or if you need repellent there. If you do, and it works there, bring it. Stuff like that in Cuba will probably cost you more there, then at home.

When in doubt, bring it.

Cuba has limited supply of "goods" at very high prices. Beattle is correct...bring your own. This applies to toiletries in general. Happy travels!
