Tell us about Barbuda

We have spent many wonderful vacations on Anguilla, should we try barbuda as an alternative?

Hi,
I haven't been to Anguilla (yet) but can comment on Barbuda. If you are looking for total tranquility, laid back atmosphere, the most beautiful beaches & lovely friendly people then you may want to try Barbuda. If you go make sure to take in the bird sanctuary for a wonderful experience. I couldn't believe the size of the baby frigates that have yet to leave the nest, their huge. Too funny.

If you are looking for golf, other tourist, shopping, restaurants or casinos then I wouldn't consider it. Hope you enjoy.

Great pictures! My husband and I are also looking for an alternative. A great, long beach, beautiful water, and clean, nice rooms,and great food, all are a must. We also have been to Anguilla once and Turks several times. Would The Beach House fit our needs? Any other suggestions? Thank you.

I highly recommend you book an ecotour with Adventure Antigua. Go to http://www.adventureantigua.com and check it out. My husband and I did this and it was the highlight of our holiday. The owner/operator grew up in Antigua and the islands (including Barbuda) are still his playground. Very informative and fun!

ajax, i haven't stayed at the beach house, but you couldn't find a better place. one of the photos of a long beach above is part of the same beach. there is quite a bit to see and do there too if you like a little adventure.
