Don't miss Grenada's Drum Festival

Grenada's drum festival will take place this year in the village of La Poterie from April 13th to 15th.

The festival features the Afro-Caribbean style Tivoli drumming which originated in a local village and has been passed down through the generations.

Tivoli drumming is choreographed which has made it so recognisable and well known.

A variety of groups from all over the country will be performing, joined by dancers, all in traditional dress.

Acts from surrounding countries such as Trinidad and Martinique are expected, giving an all-round Caribbean feel to the event.

Visitors will be immersed in the culture of the village, being treated to local Grenadian food, art displays and dance workshops.

This will be the festival's seventh year, during which it has built up a significant following.

The popularity of the festival has meant that it has moved to a larger venue during its seven-year run.
