ELEUTHERA, Bahamas, March 4, 2010 - American Eagle has suspended flights from Miami International Airport to one of the airports on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera because of recent changes there.
The airline said that it would stop landing at Governors Harbour Airport (GHB) indefinitely, just three months after starting the Miami to GHB non-stop flights.
"Once we receive an update from the government on the GHB airport, we will resume our operations to this airport and advise accordingly," said American Eagle's regional sales manager for the Bahamas and Florida, Tracie Hoo-Glinton in an email sent to the airline's travel partners.
