Travel Weekly is reporting:
Travelers from the West headed to Jamaica will catch a big break this winter, thanks to US Airways' new seasonal service from Phoenix to Montego Bay.
The flight, which runs from Dec. 18 through April 12, operates Fridays through Mondays from Phoenix, departing at 10 a.m. and arriving in Jamaica at 4:53 p.m.
From Jamaica, the flight operates Thursdays through Sundays, departing at 12:25 p.m. and arriving at 4:09 p.m. arrival in Phoenix.
Pretty animated in the comments section on this flight :)
The national carrier will also discontinue service between Jamaica and Barbados and Jamaica and Grenada, President and CEO Bruce Nobles said in a three-page letter to staff, outlining the airline's cost-cutting business plan aimed at quickly stemming the substantial cash losses at the company and positioning the airline on a path to profitability.
