~ Ships include the Disney Magic, Holland America Eurodam, and Azamara Journey ~

ST. CROIX, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS, January 30, 2009 - St. Croix welcomes three cruise ships to the island next week, with the arrival of the Disney Magic on Tuesday, February 3 at 7:00 a.m., Holland America's Eurodam on Wednesday, February 4 at 8:00 a.m. and the Azamara Cruise Line Journey on Sunday, February 8 at 8:00 a.m.

The Disney Magic makes her second call of the year on Wednesday, and will carry 2,700 passengers and 950 crew, departing at 5:30 p.m. The local community is invited to view the mini-parade, scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. in celebration of the Disney call. A group of travel and cruise writers for national publications will be aboard the Disney Magic, and are scheduled to experience various shore excursions and other activities on St. Croix.

The Eurodam will be making her inaugural call to St. Croix on Wednesday, arriving with 2,104 passengers and 800 crew and departing at 5:00 p.m. Upon arrival, Assistant Commissioner for St. Croix, Brad Nugent, will present the ship captain with a plaque, commemorating the inaugural call.

Lastly, the Azamara Journey will be making her second call to St. Croix, arriving with 710 passengers and 390 crew, and departing at 6:00 p.m.

Throughout all three days, St. Croix greeters will distribute souvenirs and rum punch to the passengers and crew, and Mocko Jumbies and live music will entertain passengers as they disembark the ships.
