Sugarcane Harvest Festival

If you're staying in Fort-de-France during June's sugarcane harvest, make the short trip to Sainte-Marie. Islanders hit the streets to celebrate the cultivation of this primary crop with cultural events, tastings, entertainment, etc. The air fills with the aroma of barbecued fish and the rum flows freely.

Fort-de-France Cultural Festival

Music, dance, art and theatre fill Martinique's colourful capital at the annual Fort-de-France Cultural Festival, dedicated to exploring the region's rich African and Caribbean heritage. Catch performances and exhibitions at the Municipal Theatre, Parc Floral and other venues. The 40th edition of this international festival will bring you some of the best local and international artists.
